It’s crazy to hear the midpoint of the first marking period for Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School is Oct. 1, but at the same time, it’s exciting to know we are making some good progress on the school year.
Salisbury Elementary School will hold Heavenly Hat Day Oct. 1. Look for information to be sent home about this great event and a fun chance for your elementary student to wear a favorite hat to school and support a great cause.
The SES PTO will hold a purse bingo 1-4 p.m. Oct. 3. Doors open noon. There is a cost for tickets at the door. Tickets include admission, 20 bingo game cards and a door prize chance. There will be special games, additional boards available and additional activities. The fourth grade will also hold a bake sale during the event.
The next operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and will be followed by a meeting of the Salisbury Township School Board. We all have learned how important these meetings are for our school district and children.
Salisbury Elementary School will hold the next T-shirt day Oct. 8. Let’s see all those Falcon Proud shirts.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for a teacher in-service day Oct. 11. Schools will re-open Oct. 12.
The township yard waste sites continue to be open alternating weekends for your drop off needs.
Hours for drop off are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
The Franko Farm Drop-off will be open Oct. 4, 7 and 9.
The Devonshire Drop-off will be open Oct. 11, 14 and 16.
