Northampton Fire Department is holding an open house 5-8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.
K-9 Veto and EMS personnel will be there.
A car-cutting demonstration will take place as well.
Food and beverages will be provided.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will hold a halupki dinner 4-6 p.m. Oct. 9.
The meal includes two halupkies, mashed potatoes, roll and butter, cupcake and a beverage.
Orders can be eaten there or taken out.
Cabbage and noodles will be available as a take-home purchase.
Tickets can be bought at the door.

Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 has announced a veterans assistance program.
Each year, the Post will offer financial assistance to eligible veterans.
To be eligible, a veteran must be honorably discharged and meet one of the following requirements:
• Retained residence in the Northampton Area School District for the last three years
• Be a life or active member of VFW Post 4714
• Be a member of the VFW Post 4714 Honor Guard
To request an application, call 610-440-0572 or 610-360-2810.
The veteran’s DD-214 must accompany the completed application.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 15.

The Jack Frost Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 23. The rain date is Oct. 30.
Note this is a Saturday, which is different from previous years.

Monday night bingo has resumed at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and the games begin 7 p.m.
