The winners of the 2021 Whitehall Lions Club annual sweepstakes were chosen at random during the club meeting Sept. 20.

The winners are Tammy Peters, first prize, $500; Tracy Boandl, second prize, $400; Mark DeLuca, third prize, $300; Betty Frieden, fourth prize, $200; and Lisa Cook, fifth prize, $100.

The Haunted Hayride in the Parkway will be held 7-11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night in October, beginning Oct. 1, in Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

Angel Resource Ministries will sponsor a new clothing sale for children 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 10 in the parish hall of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4102 S. Church St.

All sales are cash only. Masks are required.

Profits will be donated to local shelters, churches, schools and the Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative.

There will be a fall barbecue dinner 4-7 p.m. Oct. 17 by Bad Bones BBQ at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St.

The eat-in or takeout dinner will consist of barbecued chicken or pulled pork sandwich with pasta salad and parsley potatoes.

The Shepherd of the Hills youth group will be hosting a designer purse bingo and basket raffle Oct. 17.

Doors open 11:30 a.m. Bingo begins 12:30 p.m. Masks are required, regardless of vaccine status.

There will be 20 games of bingo, five specialty games, a basket raffle and a 50/50 drawing. Homemade food, desserts and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
