Gary L. Kern, 69, of Schnecksville, died on Sept. 16, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.

Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Norwood N. and Doris M. (Kern) Kern.

He was formerly employed in maintenance at Glencrest Realty Company, Slatington.

Before that, he worked at the former N.K.I. Builders, Schnecksville.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

His survivors include a brother Douglas N. Kern and his wife, Claire, of Schnecksville; nephew Nathaniel P. Kern; and niece, Abigail C. Kern.

A private graveside service will be held at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. There will be no public calling hours.
