The Allen Township Board of Supervisors met Sept. 14 to consider the Radar Drive security release.
The township received a request from the Rockefeller Group to release all security funds back to the developer. However, township Engineer Stan Wojciechowski stated there are still issues with Radar Drive, as well as the striping on Willowbrook Road.
He also said the township needs certification proving the on-site infiltration basin was constructed correctly.
Wojciechowski recommended the release of $91,200 back to the developer, which means around $1.1 million would be left in the fund in case the township needs to take care of the aforementioned issues. The board approved the motion.
The board also discussed entering an agreement with Northampton County pertaining to the Community Development Block Grant program for 2022-24.
Northampton County receives a federal allotment of funds under the CDBG program, according to township Manager Ilene Eckhart. Entering into this agreement wouldn’t hurt the township; in fact, there may be funds available to make public areas more Americans with Disabilities Act accessible.
The board approved a motion to enter into the agreement, stating the township should take any opportunity it can.
In other business, the board set the trick-or-treat night for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31, with a rain date of Nov. 1.
Allen Township supervisors will next meet 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Allen Township Fire Company building, 3530 Howertown Road.
