HISPANIC CENTER OF LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem seeks hardworking volunteers to assist with donation deliveries to the food pantry. On Fridays, volunteers would go to Sam’s Club collection site if needed, load the van, unload donation at the Center, count, and record quantities of donation, and organize food on shelves so it is ready for distribution. On the third Thursday of the month, we receive a delivery from the Food Bank where the same process occurs. Min age 16 and must be able to lift 25–30-pound boxes of food. MARVINE ES is coordinating a Community Clean-Up of the Marvine Pembroke Area 9 am - 12 pm on September 25th. Meet at Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem. All volunteers should wear a mask during the cleanup maintaining appropriate social distance while following the CDC guidelines and recommendations for outdoor activities. NEW BETHANY MINISTRIES, Bethlehem is looking for a helping hand and friendly person to sit at the front desk to help direct visitors and answer the phone. Hours are flexible. All CDC guidelines are followed; service is done via an intercom system and through our front window. Even a few hours per week is helpful. THE SALVATION ARMY, Bethlehem, needs a volunteer(s) to drive a van (provided) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am to 12 noon to food donor locations in Bethlehem. ARTSQUEST, Bethlehem needs your help for Oktoberfest, October 1st -3rd, and 8th -10th. Lots of shifts available for serving beer for those 21 or older, plus several other positions available for younger volunteers 18+, or 14-17 with adult. CIVIC THEATRE OF ALLENTOWN is looking for ushers for our upcoming live production of Annie, Thursday through Sunday, beginning Sept 24 through Oct 10. Show patrons to their seats and help clean-up the theater when the performance ends. All ushers are required to wear all black and a mask while working, and to show proof of vaccination.
