Richard J. Reinert, 74, of Northampton, died Sept. 12, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
The beloved husband of Brenda L. (Dennis) Reinert, they were married 49 years.
Born Jan. 19, 1947, in Ironton, he was the son of the late Russell R. and Marie S. (Kovacs) Reinert.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a 1964 graduate of Parkland High School.
Having a great love of music, he enjoyed playing the guitar.
Additionally he enjoyed playing billiards, NHRA drag racing and NASCAR.
He was a former member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club pistol team.
He was greatly loved by family and his many friends.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sisters-in-law Joann J. Hood (Dale) of Allentown, Renee R. Geist of Kempton; brother-in-law Leonard H. Zimmerman (Nancy) of Kempton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Marie Reinert, and a brother, Robert J. Reinert.
His service will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
