Doris J. Rute, 93, of Trexlertown, died Sept. 7, 2021, in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown.

Born Jan. 7, 1928, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. Millhouse and Viola A. (Erich) Millhouse.

She was the wife of the late LeRoy T. Rute, who died July 26, 2016.

A graduate of Allentown High School, who was an operator for seven years for the former Bell Telephone Co., Allentown.

She was a former member of the former Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown.

Her survivors include nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.
