Richard J. Reinert, 74, of Northampton, died Sept. 12, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Brenda L. (Dennis) Reinert for 49 years.

Born in Ironton, he was the son of the late Russell R. and Marie S. (Kovacs) Reinert.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a 1964 graduate of Parkland High School.

He was a former member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club pistol team.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters-in-law, Joann J. Hood with Dale of Allentown and Renee R. Geist of Kempton; a brother-in-law, Leonard H. Zimmerman with Nancy of Kempton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Marie Reinert; and a brother, Robert J. Reinert.

Services will be private.
