Alliance Fire Company, 717 Washington Ave., will hold an Oktoberfest celebration Sept. 25. The fun begins 5 p.m. and features polka music by Josef Kroboth and ethnic foods.

There is a cost for this all-you-can-eat/all-you-can-drink event.

The Jack Frost Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 23. The rain date is Oct. 30.

Note this is a Saturday, which is different from previous years.

Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will hold food distributions 5-7 p.m. Sept. 16 and 9-11:30 a.m. Sept. 18. Bring a photo ID with a current address or your ID and a bill with the correct address.

The food bank is open 9:30 a.m.-noon every Wednesday for registration, questions and donation drop-offs.
