Catty Boys compete at NNO

South Whitehall police organized a fun-for-all National Night Out Aug. 3 at Covered Bridge Park.

As in previous years, there were activities for children, police riding bicycles through an obstacle course, a K-9 demonstration, hay rides and a band concert presented by Billy Joel tribute band We May Be Right.

Attendees could bring their own chairs and sit and enjoy the music. Three food trucks were available to purchase food and beverages.

There was a cornhole tournament for which participants formed two-person teams to compete. There were 32 teams signed up.

Two friends from Catasauqua - Shaun Fenon and Joe Kovacs - formed a team called the Catty Boys. They lost to the Mother Shuckers from Allentown, a father-and-son team of Brandon and Riley Zimmerman.

The Zimmermans then played against The Nutz. This team, Brian Stine from North Whitehall and Mark Brosky from Allentown, wore T-shirts with Lugnut and Numbnut written on the back.

The Nutz beat The Mother Shuckers.

The audience sitting on the bleachers nearby cheered on the players, proving they were all having a good time.
