Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) is once again on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers.
The award for inpatient rehabilitation is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
The awards list was announced Aug. 25 and can be viewed on Newsweek’s website. LVH also made the Newsweek list in 2020, the first year Newsweek established the list.
LVH inpatient rehabilitation centers are on the LVH - Cedar Crest and LVH - Muhlenberg campuses.
“We’re proud to be listed among the best because it’s a tribute to the expertise and dedication of those who help our patients on their road to recovery,” said Beth Stepanczuk, MD, LVHN Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. “It also echoes our commitment to excellence throughout Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and to being the steadfast health partner our patients expect.”
The America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2021 list highlights the nation’s top inpatient rehabilitation facilities based on quality of care, quality of service, quality of follow-up care and accommodation and amenities.
Facilities in the 25 states with the highest number of inpatient rehabilitation facilities, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), were part of this study. The rankings feature the top 230 centers nationwide.
Lehigh Valley Hospital recently was recognized by another top national publication when U.S. News & World Report named the hospital tops in the region, and among the top five in the state, for quality and safety.
