The Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville, invited local emergency first responder services to share their stories with visitors at the zoo’s fourth annual Community Safety Day on Aug. 22.
Units and officers attending included the Lehigh County Communications truck, South Whitehall police, Northern Valley EMS, and Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.
Unfortunately, Schnecksville volunteer firefighters were dispatched to an alarm and had to leave the zoo, disappointing visiting youngsters.
