Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will hold food distributions 5-7 p.m. Sept. 9 and 16 and 9-11:30 a.m. Sept. 11 and 18. Bring a photo ID with a current address or your ID and a bill with the correct address.

The food bank is open 9:30 a.m.-noon every Wednesday for registration, questions and donation drop-offs.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 2174 Lincoln Ave., will hold a basket social 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 11 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 12.

The drawings will begin 1:30 p.m. Sept. 12. You do not need to be present to win.

Homemade food and baked goods will be available for purchase.

Evangelist David Brady, of Central City, will be the guest speaker for special services planned Sept. 12-17 at Northampton Assembly of God, 3449 Cherryville Road.

Services will be held 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Northampton Jack Frost Parade will be held 6 p.m. Oct. 23. The rain date is Oct. 30.

Note this is a Saturday, which is different from previous years.
