Lillian I. Ernst, 96, of South Whitehall, died Aug. 25, 2021, in her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Edwin G. Ernst.

Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Weber) Krautsack.

She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

Before retiring in 1981, she worked on the first transistor at Western Electric for 30 years.

She is survived by a son, David E. and his wife Tracey of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a daughter, Linda J. Beers of Allentown; three granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Beers, Amy and her husband Jonathan Asbath and Haley Ernst; a great-granddaughter, Lily Asbath; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, George Beers.
