James Alan Carlisle

James Alan Carlisle, 73, of Northampton, died Aug. 29, 2021. He was the husband of Kathryn B. (Durkes) Carlisle for 30 years.

Born in Teaneck Township, he was a son of the late James B. and Elizabeth (DePietro) Carlisle.

He earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Tennessee.

He worked with highway safety coordination and was an injury prevention services manager with the Allentown Health Bureau. He was associated with the Safe Kids Coalition with a combined 23 years of service to the city.

He was an Eucharistic minister and greeter at church. He was a second degree Knights of Columbus member, was a former Cub and Boy Scout leader and was a speaker for Toastmasters International. He was a former frequent donor to Miller-Keystone Blood Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Philip and Bradford; a daughter, Jennifer; a granddaughter, Brittany; two sisters, Nancy Sabato and her husband Dale and Jill Dugdale and her husband George; extended family; and friends.
