Fullerton: Seniors’ paint party planned

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., is planning to hold a paint party 1 p.m. Sept. 14. There is a cost, which includes supplies.

Painting skills are not required; you will be given great instruction.

There will also be light refreshments.

Call 610-443-0675 by Sept. 10 to reserve a place.

State Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18th, and state Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd, have made the decision to postpone the senior fair originally scheduled for Sept. 17 at Whitehall Mall, Grape Street and MacArthur Road.

They hope to hold the event in spring 2022.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church is planning its drive-thru steak sandwich meal. The sandwiches include sauce, onions, pickles and hot peppers - all on the side.

Orders are due by Sept. 20, and pickup is 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the parish hall, 435 Pershing Blvd.

St. Elizabeth Regional School will be holding its third annual golf tournament Sept. 25 at Whitetail Golf Club. Shotgun start is 1 p.m.

The school hopes to increase attendance and raise $10,000. The funds will be used for necessary repairs and maintenance of the school and parish hall, as well as technological upgrades and scholarships.

Organizers ask you to consider sponsoring this year’s event. Monetary donations are also accepted toward raffles and prizes.
