Betty Jane Reinhard, 102, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully Aug. 11, 2021, in Heather Glen Assisted Living, Allentown.

She was first married to Henry Joseph Buss of Hellertown in 1935 and later to Layard Henninger Reinhard of Allentown in 1967.

Born at home in East Texas, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Sarah L. (Reinhart) Ibach.

In East Texas, she attended grade school in a two-room schoolhouse.

She was employed by Woolworth, Allentown, from 1952-60 and later Day-Timer printing in East Texas for 18 years until her retirement in 1978.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown.

She enjoyed playing bingo but mostly will be remembered for her love of family.

Her survivors include sons Richard H. Buss and his wife, Marjorie, of Annapolis, Md., Ronald D. Buss and his wife, Carol, of Fogelsville; grandchildren Ellen Schaefer, Richard Buss Jr., Marjorie Rock, Jennifer Moddrel, Anthony Buss, Diane Stubits, Janet Fleming, Deborah Wanless and Cynthia Kannan; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers John, Vincent and Walter Ibach; sisters Florence Kalb, Arlene Smith, Marian Schaffer and Dorothy Braim.
