Toby Keith, Matt Stell, Laine Hardy, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2, Fair Grandstand, Allentown Fair. Grandstand gate opens at 6 p.m. Keith, whose albums have sold more than 40 million copies, returns to the Fair for the fifth time. His new single is “Old School,” from his forthcoming album, “Peso In My Pocket,” to be released Oct. 15, his first new studio album in five years. Keith is featured, along with Hardy, on Brantley Gilbert’s “The Worst Country Song of All Time.” Keith’s other hits include “Happy Birthday America,” “As Good As I Once Was,” “Beer For My Horses,” “Angry American,” “How Do You Like Me Now” and “I Love This Bar.” Keith, who grew up in Moore, Okla., started pumping out gold albums and hits throughout the 1990s. His breakthrough single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” had its 25th anniversary in 2018. Keith was in the movie, “Broken Bridges” (2006) and “Beer for My Horses” (2008), based on the 2003 hit song he recorded with Willie Nelson. Keith’s first Allentown Fair performance was when he opened for Brooks & Dunn in 2001. He returned to the Fair’s Grandstand as a headliner in 2002, 2008 and 2013.
