Madeline A. Chorney, 88, of Palmyra and formerly of Northampton, died Aug. 21, 2021, in WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Joseph Chorney.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Mary (Scherba) Bach.

She was a teller for Wachovia Bank before retiring in 1998. She was a handbag and hosier buyer for 25 years for Farr Brother Shoes and a saleswomen at their Lehigh Shopping Center store.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Allentown.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Michael and his wife Karen; two brothers, Robert and Metro Bach; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert.
