Bernard “Ben” P. Ferenchak, 89, of North Catasauqua, died Aug. 13, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Mary (Majernik) Ferenchak for 63 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Mary M. (Kuchera) Ferenchak.
He was a 1950 graduate of Catasauqua High School.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
He was a tool and die machinist at Everson Electric for 38 years before his retirement.
He was a Master Gardener and an expert in butterflies. He was a member of the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Deborah and her husband Greg “Punchy” Loch of Moore Township, Ben and his wife Holly of Catasauqua and Michele and her husband Anthony Romito of Kutztown; six grandchildren, Jason Loch, Chris Loch and companion Lori, Ben Ferenchak and his wife Helen, Nicholas Ferenchak and his wife Laura, Jimmy Kurtz and his wife Leah and Megan Henry and her husband Vince; five great-grandchildren, Matthew and stepbrother Jacob, Katherine, Vincent and Enzo; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Allison and Anthony.
He was predeceased by nine siblings.
Services will be private.
