State Rep. Gary W. Day, R-187th, announced Aug. 19 that Rodale Institute will be hosting an organic agriculture town hall in participation with him, state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture at 1 p.m. Sept. 9.
The town hall will be held at the Rodale Institute’s Visitor Center, 611 Siegfriedale Road, Kutztown.
Day invites anyone seeking to learn more about the growth, expansion and opportunities within this burgeoning sector to attend the town hall and join the discussion.
“Throughout our commonwealth and the 187th Legislative District, agriculture is a leading industry,” Day said. “The resources that Rodale Institute is able to provide to our farmers across the region is invaluable. I encourage all of those interested in hearing about the benefits of organic farming to come out to this town hall.”
