A resident of the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, discovered a check was altered and cashed through an online banking system, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 8.
An unknown person gained access to a bank account and fraudulently withdrew $8,650 between July 26 and 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported in the state police barracks lobby, Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township.
DUI
A 23-year-old male, of Allentown, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers were dispatched for an unresponsive person in a vehicle in the parking lot of Wawa convenience store and gas station, 3321 Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 6:15 a.m. July 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 62-year-old male, of Lower Macungie Township, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he allegedly struck another vehicle while backing into a parking spot in the 5200 block of Woodmont Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 8:28 p.m. July 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist allegedly fled the accident scene to his residence where he was located by state police.
A 61-year-old male, of Alburtis, allegedly was driving under the influence at the intersection of Alburtis Road and Pennsylvania State Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 2:38 p.m. July 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 57-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly used a lower price bar code sticker to attempt to purchase a larger item and failed to scan multiple items at a self-checkout terminal at Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 9 p.m. July 19 and 2:45 p.m. July 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Accident
A pedestrian was allegedly struck in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:42 a.m. Aug. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The accident was detailed in a media release as follows: A pedestrian was traveling south on Hamilton Boulevard crossing over Minesite Road. A passenger vehicle was traveling west on Minesite Road and attempting to turn right onto Hamilton Boulevard at a green light. The pedestrian allegedly crossed over Minesite Road without properly yielding to traffic and was struck with the right front bumper of the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 2 mph at the time. The pedestrian was pushed back by the bumper and allegedly threw himself to the ground a few seconds after impact. The pedestrian refused medical attention after an evaluation by EMS personnel and appeared to be upset after learning the motorist was not at fault in the accident. The pedestrian was taken to his residence a short distance from the accident. The motorist was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. The pedestrian was issued a warning.
Trespass
A 27-year-old male, of Green Lane, was escorted from the United States Post Office, 1115 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, after he allegedly was recording and refusing to leave the building Aug. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male was cited and released.
