CWSA adds officer

At Coplay Whitehall Sewer Authority’s meeting Aug. 19, the board welcomed Danielle Fegley, new CWSA officer and project coordinator.

Fegley noted that, as recommended, the staff has completed the sexual harassment training. This does not include the board members. Joseph Marx, community affairs officer, recommended everyone take this training.

Mark Buchvalt, of T&M Engineering, reported work continues on the sewer project for the Northampton- Cementon Bridge project with good progress. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has informed the company of a modification to the design. Impact is unknown as the company has not yet received the modified design.

CWSA General Manager Matt Harleman informed the group a security camera has been installed at the front door due to a situation that occurred.

Chairman John Schreiner mentioned board members have received a copy of a letter from Harleman to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf opposing Senate Bill 597, also known as the Water Quality Accountability Act. Harleman was complimented on the well-written letter.

Joseph Marx complimented Harleman on noticed cleanliness of the building.
