The borough’s free summer concert series continues with GirlCrue, sponsored by Brosky Insurance, 7-10 p.m. Aug. 27 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be holding its next free community lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Aug. 28. Enjoy a scrumptious hot meal and spend some time with your Catasauqua neighbors.

Catasauqua Garden Club members will gather Sept. 1 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. The meeting starts 1 p.m.

John Drabic, a Pennsylvania Master Gardener, will discuss animal pests found in gardens. Drabic will focus on several types of animal pests, recognizing the damage they cause, and discuss different methods to eliminate the pests.

Garden club members will present exhibits for artistic and horticultural judging.

Garden-friendly visitors and merely curious folks are invited to attend.
