Hector Tricoche

Hector Tricoche (above), Michael Stuart, Mako Swing, 7 p.m. Aug. 12, Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza. The concert is free. A deejay from La Mega kicks off the night, followed by urban merengue band Mako Swing. Then, vocalist Michael Stuart takes the stage, followed by Hector Tricoche. Known as one of the “Original Salsa Kings,” Tricoche is an international musician of Puerto Rican descent who sings in the genre of Latin pop and salsa. Tricoche performed with the Tommy Olivencia Orchestra for six years before embarking in 1990 on a solo career. Tricoche sang the hit, “Lobo Domesticado,” on the 1987 chart-topping album, “30 Aniversario,” which celebrated Olivencia’s three-decade anniversary as a bandleader. Tricoche has released nine albums in the United States, and more internationally.
