Mayor Bob Donchez and Police Chief Michelle Kott introduce Officer Ravon Burton’s new partner, Bean, in the Rotunda Aug. 2. The two-year-old German short-hair pointer is curious and friendly, trained to enjoy events in the community when not on patrol or sniffing for explosive substances. Bean is one of four trained dogs now with the department, and the second donated y Joe and Shirley Hixson.
