Day honors former Trojan Alumni Varsity Club president

Ronald George Bealer, former Trojan Alumni Varsity Club president, was presented a House of Representatives citation from state Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, for his years of community service, during the club’s July 13 meeting at Independence Park, Schnecksville.

Bealer was honored for his 58 years of dedication and distinguished service to the club.

A 1962 graduate of Parkland High School, Bealer has been a member of the Trojan Varsity Alumni Club since 1963.

For 19 consecutive years he served as the club’s president.

Bealer is also a member of the Buick Club of America demonstrating outstanding loyalty to the noble goals and principles of the Trojan Varsity Alumni Club.

He has generously contributed to the welfare of the organization and its members throughout his 58 years of valuable service.

In 1968, Bealer began a career with Mack Trucks.

He served as vice president of the Mack Ski Club.

Active with Union Lutheran Church, Bealer is a member of its Journeyman ministry group and has volunteered with 20 trips to assist areas affected by disasters.

Bealer is a member and the current president of the Ironton Rail Trail.

He also served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise.
