CITY POOLS: Outdoor pool daily passes are available to Bethlehem Township residents. Daily admission is available Monday – Friday, 2 p.m. to close. Residents may purchase passes at the Community Center front desk with valid ID. No passes will be sold at the pool gate. Bethlehem Township, 2900 Farmersville Road.
The City of Bethlehem Clearview, Memorial and Yosko pools are open to city residents only. Season pass holders are admitted from noon to 1 p.m. Daily; Non-pass admissions for City of Bethlehem residents are from 1 to 7 p.m. Access is contingent upon available capacity. SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM: Free breakfast and lunch for Bethlehem children age 18 and under are available 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays through Aug. 19. SEPT. 11 SPEAKER SOUGHT: Did the events of 911 inspire you to join the military or solidify your service to our country? BURNSIDE SATURDAYS: Visit Burnside Plantation from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through November. There will be barn, house and kitchen tours. Meet the gardeners, peek inside the Burnside House and experience the Summer Kitchen. There will be children’s activities and crafts.
The next You Point, We Pick organically grown produce, herbs and flowers, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., (cash or credit card donations) will be held Sept. 4 and again Oct. 20. This is not a pick-your-own. Bring bags, baskets or buckets. Produce is first-come, first-served. The plantation is dog-friendly. Parking is available on site at 1461 Schoenersville Road. POETRY CONTEST: Sept. 1 entry deadline: Celtic Cultural Alliance annual Celtic Poetry Contest for writers of all ages. Original poems should reflect the Celtic culture, arts, history or literature. Personal anecdotes of family memories or of travelling experiences are encouraged. Poems must be neatly written or typed in any style or length by one author. Three categories: grades three to six, seven through 12 and adult. Winning entries will be read at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at Celtic Heritage Hollow.
