Public Library of Catasauqua: Prepare to go back to school with Power Library

“Back to school.”

Those three little words bring to the end the golden days of summer.

In my childhood, I spent hours walking along the river and across the fields: seeing herons, partridges, cows, the pig, “Never put your hand in there,” past the mill race, “Don’t lean over too far,” back past the level crossing where a little old man lived in a tiny house and opened and closed the gate for the trains and traffic.

Life is very different for children today. My grandchildren live their lives on the computer and in their backyard, sometimes visiting a friend’s house.

Since COVID-19, their world has gotten even smaller, working on school work at home and seeing less of their friends.

We can offer help with homework and schoolwork through our Power Library app. Find our website, catasauquapl.org, and click on online resources.

Click on Power Library, and a whole new world will open up before your eyes.

Adults, it’s for you, too. Find a book, learn a new skill or research a topic.
