Michelle M. Podorsky, 68, of Coplay, died peacefully Aug. 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.
She and her husband, Dennis J. Podorsky, were married almost 51 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Michael P. Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Crothers) Harakal.
A 1970 graduate of Whitehall High School, she worked in the medical field for more than 26 years with VNA.
She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, sister-in-law, and friend to many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Michelle “Shelly,” wife of Todd Gehringer; grandchildren Zachary and Rileigh; brothers Michael Jr./Judy Harakal and Timothy/Cathy Harakal; sisters Colleen Gober, Denise/Thomas Bauer, Maureen/Thomas Ruhe, Kimberly/William Bretz, and Laurie/Dennis Atiyeh; sisters-in-law Joyce and Judy Podorsky; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her nephew William Matthew Bretz III and brother-in-law Stephen Gober.
A celebration of her life will be held 5-8 p.m. Aug. 20 at the West Coplay Maennerchor, 3326 N. Ruch St., Whitehall, PA 18052.
Private interment in Coplay Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be presented to the Coplay Cemetery Association, 102 S. 8th St., Coplay, PA 18037 or to the Wildlands Conservancy, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049 or at wildlandspa.org.
