Kenneth S. Snyder

Kenneth S. Snyder, 90, of Whitehall Township, died Aug. 7, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Irene (Zorochin) Snyder for 69 years.

He was a son of the late Kenneth and Bernice Snyder.

He was in the National Guard for 18 years.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel. Over the years, he had companies in the fields of landscaping, blacktop, home building and mini markets. He was vice president of admissions at Lincoln Technical Institute for 30 years. He purchased Berks Technical Institute and expanded it to two locations.

He was the founding director of the Whitehall Junior Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, past Whitehall Township commissioner, past Whitehall Township Planning Commission member and Whitehall Township Zoning Board member.

He was on the board of directors and was a past president of the Lake Hauto Club for 18 years. In Atlantic City, he was on the board of directors of the Ritz Carlton and the Enclave Homeowners associations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons, Kenneth and his wife Linda, Tom and his wife Diane, David and his wife Andrea, Mark and his companion Suzi, Wayne and his wife Renee and Brian and his wife Monica; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene.
