John J. Meyers, 81, of Bath, died Aug. 8, 2021, in the Lehigh Valley Hospice inpatient unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Vernell (Hahn) Meyers for 56 years.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Frank J. and T. Mary (Krauss) Meyers.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He and his late wife were the proprietors of Meyers Gun Shop, Point Phillips. He worked for the carpenter’s union for many years.

He was a life member of the East Bath Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion. He was a supporter of the Scholastic Youth Sporting Clays program.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kristine and Debra and her husband Cory Stoudt; four grandchildren, Heather Kichline and Tyler, Dylan and Riley Stoudt; and two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Melodie.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank.
