Hope Stempo, 72, of Northampton, died Aug. 11, 2021, after a struggle with mucosal melanoma.

Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Betty Crouthamel.

She graduated from Easton Area High School.

She restored furniture and religious items.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

Her last weeks were spent in the care of her sister Elena Ryerson and housemate Anita “Nikki” Kotoris.

In addition to her sister and housemate, she is survived by a brother-in-law, Ron; two daughters, Trenace and her husband Stephen Caserta and Michelle Stempo; four grandchildren, Hope, Halee, Brielle and Braedon; a great-grandson, Maddix; a niece, Lori and her husband Todd Mains; a nephew, Daniel and his wife the Rev. Jennifer Ryerson; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
