Gloria J. Kravetz, 87, of Burlington, Vt., died July 23, 2021, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Michael Kravetz for 51 years.

Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of Velma (Heil) Roth and Lawrence Engle. She was raised by her grandparents, Henry and Katie Engle.

She was a 1952 Slatington High School graduate.

After graduation, she was an office manager for Prudential, Allentown, until she retired to focus on her business. She and her late husband were the proprietors of the original Berlinsville Hotel for 62 years.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Slatington, where she sang with the choir.

She is survived by a son, David of Allentown; a daughter, Amy and her husband Michael Saunders of Westford, Vt.; a sister, Cheryl Weiner; a maternal cousin, Sharon and her husband Gene Hardenberg; nephews and nieces, Lee Engle with Isabel, Jill Engle, Jeff Reitz with Lynn, Ted Engle, Seth Reitz with Heather, Erik Weiner with Kelly and Benjamin Reitz with Brooke; grandnieces; grandnephews; and one great-grandniece.

She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Engle; a sister, Ann Marie Reitz; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Engle; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Weiner.

There will be a visitation 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service 11 a.m., Aug. 21 at St. John’s UCC, 15 Second St., Slatington, 18080.

Contributions may be made to the church music ministry or to a charity of one’s choice.
