Eleanor Rokosny

Eleanor Rokosny, 86, of Emmaus, died Aug. 3, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Rokosny, who died in 2005. Born in Swedeland, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Yurick) Billie.

She was employed at the Emmaus Shirt Factory and Pine Tree Tavern.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She was truly the heart and soul of her family. She loved family first, polka music, festivals, cooking ethnic foods and her dogs. Her favorite times were spent on the back patio and in her home with all. She was known to many as the “Honorary Mayor of Wood Street.”

She is survived by daughters, Veronica Gurney (Richard) and Kathleen Palmer (Wayne); sons, Anthony (Paula), Paul M. and Andrew; sisters, Barbara Snell and Dolores Hahn; sister-in-law, Sister Regina Ann; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Carrie and Brittany; three great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus, 18049.
