Edgar J. Bertsch, 92, of Allentown, died Aug. 14, 2021, in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall.
He was the husband of the late Marian M. (Miller) Bertsch, who died in June.
Born in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Edgar C. and Helen (Stahley) Bertsch.
Before retiring in 1987, he was a production truck driver at Mack Trucks for 32 years.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.
An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who will be remembered for his love of attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
His survivors include sons Timothy A. and his wife, Ann, Clayton D., and Rodger L. and his wife, Susan; daughters Leslie B., wife of Scott Clay, and Kathryn S., wife of David Geiger; sister Betty Schantz; grandchildren Michael and his wife, Alexandra, Nicholas, Christopher, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Lauren and her husband, Greg, Austin and his wife Marisa, and Bryan; great-grandsons Graham and Cole.
He was predeceased by brothers Raymond, Ernest and Alton; sisters Evelyn Lichtenwalner, Irene Druckenmiller, Kathryn Moyer, Dorothy Yeakel, and infant twins Paul and Pauline.
His services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 21 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown.Calling begins at 10 a.m.
