The Disney film “Luca” will be shown 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the pavilion at Coplay Parkway. This will be the last of the 2021 summer outdoor movies.

Coplay Community Days is scheduled for Aug. 27-29 at Coplay Parkway.

The event will begin 5 p.m. Aug. 27. Common Bond is set to perform 6-10 p.m. Aug. 27.

Other musical entertainment includes Steel Creek 1-4 p.m. and the Sofa Kings 6-9 p.m. Aug. 28 and Josef Kroboth 12:30-3:30 p.m., Sue Rabenold and Michael Scherer 4-5 p.m. and the Large Flowerheads 6:15-9 p.m. Aug. 29.

The Coplay Scholarship Fund Committee is offering two $500 scholarships to Coplay kids just graduated from high school who plan to attend university or college, the police academy or a career/technical school.

The application deadline is Sept. 1.

This year’s picnic is adults only. Those planning to attend must be at least 18 years old.

The Coplay Saengerbund is planning an Oktoberfest 2:30-7 p.m. Sept. 12.

A parade kicks off the event 2:30 p.m. There will be music by Joe Kroboth 3-7 p.m.

Other features include the Auerhahn Schuhplattler dancers, an Oktoberfest singalong and a Masskrugstemmen contest.

There will be imported German beers and authentic German food.
