Wilkes University

Degrees awarded

Wilkes University awarded nearly 700 bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees at its 74th spring commencement ceremonies May 28-30. Six in-person ceremonies were held to honor those earning their degrees and accommodate their families.

Mansfield University

President’s list is announced

Savannah Packard and Trent Smith, both of Northampton, were among the 126 students named to the president’s list for the spring 2021 semester at Mansfield University. To be named to the president’s list, a student must attend the university full-time and attain at least a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

Packard is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in education: early childhood and elementary education, and Smith is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in geosciences: environmental science.

Northampton Community College

Students graduate

More than 650 graduates earned associate degrees, specialized diplomas and certificates from Northampton Community College at a virtual spring commencement ceremony May 27. The graduates ranged in age from 18 to 75, hailed from 15 countries and included 31 with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

Edinboro University

McCloud graduates

Edinboro University celebrated the academic success of 673 undergraduate and graduate students May 8.

Bachelor’s and associate degrees were conferred upon 518 students, while 155 students earned graduate and post-baccalaureate degrees. Ean Thomas McCloud, of Whitehall, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in applied media arts.
