Betty Jane Reinhard, 102, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully Aug. 11, 2021, at Heather Glen Assisted Living, Allentown. She was first married to Henry Joseph Buss, of Hellertown in 1935 and later to Layard Henninger Reinhard, of Allentown in 1967. Born at home in East Texas, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Sarah L. (Reinhart) Ibach.

There in East Texas, she attended grade school in a two-room schoolhouse.

She was employed by Woolworth in Allentown from 1952 to 1960 and later at Day-Timer® printing in East Texas for 18 years, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C., Trexlertown.

She enjoyed playing bingo but mostly will be remembered for her love of family.

She is survived by sons, Richard H. Buss and his wife, Marjorie, of Annapolis, Md., Ronald D. Buss and his wife, Carol, of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Ellen Schaefer, Richard Buss Jr., Marjorie Rock, Jennifer Moddrel, Anthony Buss, Diane Stubis, Janet Fleming, Deborah Wanless, Cynthia Kannan; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, John, Vincent and Walter Ibach; sisters, Florence Kalb, Arlene Smith, Marian Schaffer, Dorothy Braim.
