James A. “Jim” Berdelle, 78, of Breinigsville, formerly of Mountainville, died Aug. 5, 2021, under hospice care in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Theresa D. Berdelle.

Born Feb. 28, 1943, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Anna A. (Heller) Berdelle.

He was in the commercial construction industry before retiring.

Before that, he was a truck driver for the former Follmer Trucking Co.

A member of the Teamsters Local 773, he was a lifetime member of Mountainville Fire Company No. 16, Allentown, as well as various other organizations.

He was of the Catholic faith.

His survivors include daughters Cindy A. Paxson and her husband, Thomas, of Allentown, and Michele Berdelle and her wife, Eve Wyatt, of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; granddaughters Ashley E. Hennessey and her husband, Adam, of Bala Cynwyd, and Melissa K. Snyder and her husband, Benjamin, of Schnecksville; great-grandsons Jude, Wyatt, Beau and Liam; and beloved dog, Maggie May.

His service will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
