Work on the new Lehigh Elementary School, at right, 800 Blue Mountain Drive, Walnutport, nears completion, in time to welcome students for the 2021-22 academic year. The 95,000-square-foot building, according to Northampton Area School District Superintendent of Schools Joseph Kovalchik, will offer “multiple uses for the community and public.” The former school, at left, will be demolished to make way for sports fields.
