The library summer book sale continues Aug. 12 and 14. Children’s, teen and adult books, DVDs and CDs will be on sale.

There will be a story character scavenger hunt 6 p.m. Aug. 12. Find characters and solve the riddles. This program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, for kids in grades 2-5.

Join 4-H Club members 6 p.m. Aug. 17 for a presentation on food science and agricultural science activities. This program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, for kids ages 5-10.

Come and make sun prints 6 p.m. Aug. 19. Create your own image using special paper, items from nature and the sun. This program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, for kids in grades 2-5.

There will be a virtual fandom trivia event for adults 7 p.m. Aug. 20 on Zoom. Test your knowledge of “Harry Potter,” “Doctor Who,” “Lord of the Rings,” Marvel and “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

One person registers his or her team of up to four participants.

The owl pellet dissection program is 6 p.m. Aug. 26. This program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, for kids ages 5 and up.

Northampton Area Public Library is launching the 100 Books Before challenge, involving reading initiatives for teens to read 100 books before they enter high school or before they graduate. This is a read-at-your-own-pace program with many prizes along the way.
