Senior Day scheduled Aug. 20

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, recently announced his district office in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road, will host a day for seniors Aug. 20.

Appointments are required.

Mackenzie’s staff can assist seniors with applications or provide more information on any programs that may be available to them at no cost. Residents do not need to pay a third party for assistance with these forms.

Programs available to seniors include the PA-1000 Property Tax/Rent Rebate program; PACE/PACENET prescription assistance; reduced vehicle registration fee and handicap placards.

There are several other services available to senior citizens. As always, seniors are welcome any time to come to the office for assistance, but older adults and their caregivers or family members are encouraged to schedule an appointment.

Senior days are held, by appointment, the third Friday of every month.
