Olga P. Herb

Olga P. Herb, 98, of Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek in Northampton and formerly of Ormrod, died July 28, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest campus. She was the wife of the late Herman M. Herb for 54 years.

Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Kroutjock) Potrako.

She also resided in Hernando, Fla., for about 10 years and then at the Neffs Hotel with her daughter who owned the it.

During World War II, she worked at a cigar factory. She then was a trimmer and presser at numerous factories for more than 20 years before her retirement. She did the Neffs Hotel laundry and was chief inspector.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton, where she was a part of the Rosary Society and a pierogie maker for the church.

She was a member of the Nova Ambulance Core of Ormrod and the Friendly 50s of Northampton.

She is survived by a daughter, Louise E. and her husband Bruce Stettler of Schnecksville; a son, Michael Herb of Hernando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Mindy and Tim Herb; two grandsons, Todd L. and Zane J. Schaffer, both of Slatington; and four great-grandchildren. She was Gram to Bruce’s two daughters and their four children.

She was predeceased by seven siblings.
