Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, Egypt, will be hosting a concert by the band GirlCrue 6-10 p.m. Aug. 21.

The concert is open to the public. Nonmembers will be charged a small cover fee, which will be used to assist a needy veteran.

Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, will hold a basket raffle 5-10 p.m. Aug. 27, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Aug. 28 and noon- 4 p.m. Aug. 29. You do not need to be present to win.

Donated baskets are always welcome and appreciated.

There is also a vendor and yard sale planned for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 28.

Are your closets, drawers and storage overcrowded? Good news! The youth group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church has resumed its clothing drive.

The group is collecting new or gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, purses, belts, bed and bath linens, stuffed animals and bikes in working condition.

All items should be bagged or boxed and taken to the church. Please put any shoes in separate bags.

Registration for fall 2021 baseball and softball at Egypt Memorial Park is open now through Aug. 31.

The season will run Aug. 15-Oct. 31.

Youth ages 6-18 may be registered at egyptpark.org.
