Reminder: Upcoming entertainment at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., includes Uncle Smiley Aug. 6 and Aaron Dussing Aug. 8.

For the Friday show, the gates and bar open 5 p.m., with the kitchen opening 5:30 p.m. The gates and bar will open 2 p.m., with the kitchen opening 3 p.m., for the Sunday polka.

A family splash and dance night is planned for 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12 at Coplay’s Parkway Pool, Second and Keefer streets. The event features deejay Freddie Fredericks Jr., games, contests and dancing.

There will be an Ironton Rail Trail work party 8 a.m. Aug. 14. Meet at the maintenance trailer located on Second Street, adjacent to the trail.

The 20th annual IRT 10-K walk/run will be 8 a.m. Aug. 21 at Saylor Park.
