DUI

Linda Ann Torres, 58, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence and related offenses following a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Emmaus Avenue July 8, according to Salisbury police.

Possession

A 34-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance after an incident at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Boulevard, July 8, according to Salisbury police.

Scam

The Salisbury Township Police Department took 31 reports of individuals fraudulently applying for unemployment benefits using the information of other persons. Police officials encourage those who have fallen victim to such fraud to report the incident so proper reporting can be maintained.

A resident of the 900 block of Hawthorn Road received a fraudulent call from “AT&T” alerting her she was a victim of a scam and requesting personal information, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported July 6 and remains under investigation.

A resident of the 1400 block of Pearl Street told police he was threatened by a male demanding payment after he allegedly attempted to request a service, according to police. The incident was reported July 12 and remains under investigation.

Theft from vehicle

A resident of the 1700 block of South Albert Street found someone entered her unlocked vehicle and removed her purse, which contained cash and various cards, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported July 7.

A license plate was removed from a vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of East Federal Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported July 13.

Fireworks

A 50-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with alleged display and discharge of fireworks in the 1300 block of Fairview Road July 4, according to Salisbury police.

Theft

A Ross mountain bike, valued at $75, was removed from a front porch in the 800 block of East Lexington Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported July 9 and remains under investigation.

Shots fired

Salisbury police officers investigated a report of shots fired along Constitution Drive as well as all-terrain vehicle riders in the same area July 4. Officers arrived and checked all surrounding areas but did not hear any gunshots or fireworks and the ATV riders were no longer in the area, according to Salisbury police.

Accidents involving damage

A 21-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was charged with alleged accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, stop signs and yield signs and required financial responsibility after a motor vehicle accident in the 800 block of East Emmaus Avenue July 7, according to Salisbury police.
