The Great Allentown Fair’s Premium Listing detailing the procedures and categories for entering the Fair’s blue ribbon competitions are now available on the Allentown Fair’s website at allentownfairpa.org.

Placement ribbons and cash prizes are awarded in each of the exhibitor categories judged prior and throughout fair week running Sept. 1 through Labor Day, Sept. 6.

There are special contests for youth entrants in addition to the all-age categories.

The final deadline for Agri~Plex entries is Aug. 7.

All registrations must be completed by mail.

No on site registration will be held.

Farmers, gardeners, antique collectors, crafters, bakers, cooks, photographers and more have the opportunity to compete for small monetary awards and prestigious Allentown Fair blue ribbons.

Exemplifying the vast number of award categories, 175 types of fruits and vegetables along with 11 different varieties of organic vegetables are judged and then on display inside Agri~Plex, the Fair’s main exhibit hall.

The fair typically exhibits more than 900 farm animals and over 9,000 products from farms, gardens and homes, including arts and crafts.

As a special attraction, 11 culinary contests offer cooks and bakers extra incentives for whipping up favorite recipes or creating new dishes that are judged during the fair with an audience watching.

These sponsored contests are included in the Agri~Plex Premium List but require the completion of separate, individual applications providing important details.

The Premium Lists and applications for the special contests are available on the fair’s website atallentownfairpa.org/contests.
