Two township pools now open

Whitehall Township residents now have access to the Cementon Pool at Victor C. Talotta Park, 5185 Dewey St. The township had to keep the facility closed at the beginning of the 2021 swim season due to delivery delays of pool motors and pumps.

Parkview Pool, located at Hokendauqua Park and Playground, 3051 S. Fifth St., has been open since the beginning of the season.

The pools run on alternating days. Cementon Pool is open noon-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Parkview Pool is open noon-7 p.m. Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Jefferson Pool in Fullerton is closed until further notice.

On its Facebook page, the township announced July 21 the last day of the season will be Aug. 15 since many of the lifeguards are college students and will be returning to school for the fall semester.

There is a fee to swim at the township pools. ID is required to enter.

For questions regarding the pools, contact Tony Cocca, recreation director, at 610-437-5524, ext. 1135.
